There’s more here than meets the eye. From the outside it is clear that there are some renovations underway and there is some equipment etc left out. But the hosts are great – friendly and accommodating. The room was spotless and while simple, was more than adequate and comfortable. Next to no road noise either. Good value.

The bed was excellent. the new owners are making huge improvements to this motel. Some of it won’t happen overnight but they’re going hard. Very friendly management and staff.

The staff were most welcoming, the extra touches certainly impressed, we stayed over the Easter long weekend and they had a dish of small easter eggs in the room. We booked a twin room but were upgraded to the family room as they were worried that the room that we had reserved could have been noisy for us.

Nice hotel, friendly staff; I have been staying at the flying spur for work.. this is my second stay and each time has been excellent. Ian and Esis have been amazing.. they have helped me out in many ways and made my stay in an unfamiliar place much easier.. lovely people and place !! Thank you.
